(1Ki 12:10) And the young men that were grown up with him spake unto him, saying, Thus shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee, saying, Thy father made our yoke heavy, but make thou it lighter unto us; thus shalt thou say unto them, My little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins. Note: The young foolish men advised the king, Rehoboam , to levy heavy taxes upon people. It was to his destruction. |
(Mat 22:21) They say unto him, Caesar's. Then saith he unto them, Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's. (1Ki 12:6) And king Rehoboam consulted with the old men, that stood before Solomon his father while he yet lived, and said, How do ye advise that I may answer this people? (1Ki 12:7) And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever. |

(Jer 32:35) And they built the high places of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. Note: The people took up the practice of the pagan nations which sacrificed their children to the god of Molech in hopes that they would themselves prosper. Today, people often choose abortion for their convenience ... so they can continue their occupation, for financial freedom, or to avoid the responsibility of raising children. (Deu 27:25) Cursed be he that taketh reward to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say, Amen. Note: Doctors who perform abortions receive payment to kill unborn children. ALSO NOTE: Such lack of respect for human life also leads to embryo
stem cell research and the culturing of embryos and manipulation of embryos
for selective destruction.

(Gen 1:22) And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. (Psa 127:3) Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. (Psa 127:4) As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. (Psa 127:5) Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate. (Psa 139:13) For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. (Psa 139:14) I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. (Psa 139:15) My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth. (Psa 139:16) Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them. (Psa 139:17) How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God!
how great is the sum of them!

(2Ch 16:2) Then Asa brought out silver and gold out of the treasures of the house of the LORD and of the king's house, and sent to Benhadad king of Syria, that dwelt at Damascus, saying, (2Ch 16:3) There is a league between me and thee, as there was between my father and thy father: behold, I have sent thee silver and gold; go, break thy league with Baasha king of Israel, that he may depart from me. Note: Asa was trying to buy protection from the king of Syria using the money which the people gave to the Lord. (2Ch 16:9) For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou hast done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. |
(2Ch 14:11) And Asa cried unto the LORD his God, and said, LORD, it is nothing with thee to help, whether with many, or with them that have no power: help us, O LORD our God; for we rest on thee, and in thy name we go against this multitude. O LORD, thou art our God; let not man prevail against thee. (2Ch 14:12) So the LORD smote the Ethiopians before Asa, and before Judah; and the Ethiopians fled. (2Ch 20:6) And said, O LORD God of our fathers, art not thou God in heaven? and rulest not thou over all the kingdoms of the heathen? and in thine hand is there not power and might, so that none is able to withstand thee? |

(Gen 13:13) But the men of Sodom were wicked and sinners before the LORD exceedingly. (Gen 19:4) But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter: (Gen 19:5) And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them. Note: The expression "that we may know them" refers to having homosexual relations with them. (Rom 1:26) For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: (Rom 1:27) And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use
of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working
that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of
their error which was meet.
|
(Gen 1:27) So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. (Gen 1:22) And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. (1Co 7:2) Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband. (Heb 13:4) Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled:
but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

(2Ch 15:3) Now for a long season Israel hath been without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law. (Pro 30:12) There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes, and yet is not washed from their filthiness. Note: The Ten Commandments gives man knowledge of right and wrong.
One of the commandments is "Thou shalt not kill." Since the Ten Commands
have been removed from the class room, school shootings have entered.

(Deu 6:6) And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: (Deu 6:7) And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. (Deu 6:24) And the LORD commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear the LORD our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is at this day.

(Dan 6:5) Then said these men, We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it against him concerning the law of his God. (Dan 6:7) All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and
the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together
to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever
shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O
king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.
|
(Dan 6:10) Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees three times a day, and prayed, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. (Dan 6:11) Then these men assembled, and found Daniel praying and making supplication before his God. Note: Daniel was a public official. (2Ch 7:14) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble
themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal
their land.

(1Sa 8:11) And he said, This will be the manner of the king that shall reign over you: He will take your sons, and appoint them for himself, for his chariots, and to be his horsemen; and some shall run before his chariots. (1Sa 8:12) And he will appoint him captains over thousands, and captains over fifties; and will set them to ear his ground, and to reap his harvest, and to make his instruments of war, and instruments of his chariots. (1Sa 8:13) And he will take your daughters to be confectionaries, and to be cooks, and to be bakers. (1Sa 8:14) And he will take your fields, and your vineyards, and your oliveyards, even the best of them, and give them to his servants. (1Sa 8:15) And he will take the tenth of your seed, and of your vineyards, and give to his officers, and to his servants. (1Sa 8:16) And he will take your menservants, and your maidservants, and your goodliest young men, and your asses, and put them to his work. (1Sa 8:17) He will take the tenth of your sheep: and ye shall be his servants. (1Sa 8:18) And ye shall cry out in that day because of your king which ye shall have chosen you; and the LORD will not hear you in that day. (1Sa 8:19) Nevertheless the people refused to obey the voice of Samuel; and they said, Nay; but we will have a king over us; (1Sa 8:20) That we also may be like all the nations; and that our king may judge us, and go out before us, and fight our battles. |
a balance of power Note: The founding fathers of the United States of America, being men of God and knowledgeable of the Bible, based this approach upon the "trinity" or "godhead." (1Jo 5:7) For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. (Mat 28:19) Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Notes: 1. The Executive Branch is to be a model and lead the people. He, the President, is also to be the Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces. 2. The Legislative Branch is to create laws and interpret the laws. 3. The Judicial Branch is to enforce and see that the laws are carried out. |

(Jam 1:6) But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. (Jam 1:7) For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. (2Ki 17:33) They feared the LORD, and served their own gods, after
the manner of the nations whom they carried away from thence.
|
(1Co 15:58) Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord. (2Ki 22:2) And he did that which was right in the sight of the
LORD, and walked in all the way of David his father, and turned not aside
to the right hand or to the left.

(Pro 28:28) When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase. (Pro 29:2) When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn. (Luk 6:39) And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead
the blind? shall they not both fall into the ditch?
|
(Pro 11:10) When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. (2Ch 14:5) Also he took away out of all the cities of Judah the high places and the images: and the kingdom was quiet before him. (2Ch 14:6) And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest. (2Ch 26:5) And he sought God in the days of Zechariah, who had
understanding in the visions of God: and as long as he sought the LORD,
God made him to prosper.

(Eze 33:3) If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; (Eze 33:4) Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. (Eze 33:5) He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. (Eze 33:6) But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. (Eze 33:7) So thou, O son of man, I have set thee a watchman unto the house of Israel; therefore thou shalt hear the word at my mouth, and warn them from me. (Eze 33:8) When I say unto the wicked, O wicked man, thou shalt
surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that
wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine
hand.

(2Ch 14:6) And he built fenced cities in Judah: for the land had rest, and he had no war in those years; because the LORD had given him rest. (2Ch 14:7) Therefore he said unto Judah, Let us build these cities, and make about them walls, and towers, gates, and bars, while the land is yet before us; because we have sought the LORD our God, we have sought him, and he hath given us rest on every side. So they built and prospered. (2Ch 14:8) And Asa had an army of men that bare targets and spears, out of Judah three hundred thousand; and out of Benjamin, that bare shields and drew bows, two hundred and fourscore thousand: all these were mighty men of valour. (Eze 33:9) Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to
turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity;
but thou hast delivered thy soul.

(Isa 14:12) How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (Isa 14:13) For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: (Isa 14:14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Note: Look at all the "I will's".

(Num 12:3) (Now the man Moses was very meek, above all the men which were upon the face of the earth.) Note: Meekness is strength submitted under authority. (1Ki 12:7) And they spake unto him, saying, If thou wilt be a
servant unto this people this day, and wilt serve them, and answer them,
and speak good words to them, then they will be thy servants for ever.
