Your
Plan or God's Plan
(a simple check list)
[ ] 1.
If
you are planning for failure, it is definitely not
God's plan,
because God plans for success.
Joshua
1:8 "This
book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt
meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do
according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make
thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

If
your are simply planning your own plan, it is most likely not God's
plan because God needs to be involved.
Proverbs19:21
"There are many devices in a man's
heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand."

the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than
your thoughts."

If your plan includes laziness on your part, it is not God's plan,
because you are to be diligent is doing God’s work.
Proverbs
13:4. "The soul of the sluggard
desireth,
and hath nothing: but the soul of the diligent shall be made fat."

] 4. If you have no plan, it is not
God's plan, because
God always has a plan involved.
Proverbs
29:18 "Where there is no vision, the
people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he."

] 5. If you must accomplish your plan immediately, it is probably not
God's plan, because most of the time, success comes over a span of
time.

21:5. "The thoughts of the diligent
tend
only to plenteousness; but of every one that is hasty only to want."

] 6. If your plan involves deceit on your part, it is not God's plan,
because God’s plan includes living a righteous life.

11:18. "The wicked worketh a
deceitful
work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward."

] 7. If your plan includes only you, it is probably not God's plan
because God’s plan is for an anointing that involves and ministers
to others.
Psalms
133:1-3 "Behold, how good and how
pleasant
it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the
precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even
Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments; As the
dew of Hermon, and as the dew that descended upon the mountains of
Zion: for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for
evermore."

] 8. If your plan is filled with pride, it is not God's plan, because
God’s plan is based upon your humility.
Proverbs
11:2 "When pride cometh, then cometh
shame: but with the lowly is wisdom."

Peter 5:6 “Humble
yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt
you in due time.”

] 9. If your plan involves no counsel from others,
it may not
God's plan because God’s plan for you usually is to receive counsel
from others.
Proverbs
15:22. "Without counsel purposes are
disappointed: but in the multitude of counsellors they are
established."

] 10. If your plan is self-deceptive (eyes closed), it is not God's
plan because God’s plan is for you is to keep our eyes open.

14:15. "The simple believeth every
word:
but the prudent man looketh well to his going."

] 11. If your plan does not include wise men, it is probably not
God's plan because God’s plan often means that you should
fellowship with wise men.

13:20 "He that walketh with wise men
shall
be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed."

] 12. If your plan does not include giving to others, it is probably
not God's plan because God’s plan is for you to give to others of
what God has given to you.

11:25 "The liberal soul shall be
made fat:
and he that watereth shall be watered also himself."

] 13. If your plan involves evil, it is not God's plan because God’s
plan involves your seeking after good.
Proverbs
11:27 "He that diligently seeketh
good
procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto
him."

] 14. If your plan is a selfish plan, it is not God's plan because
God’s plan is for you to minister to others.
James
4:3 "Ye ask, and receive not,
because ye
ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."

] 15. If your plan is to be fulfilled by your own will power or
natural abilities, it is probably not God's plan because God’s plan
means that you are to depend upon God’s grace (His will and His
power) to accomplish His plan in your life.

[ ] 16. If your plan includes your haughtiness (looking down on
others), it is not God's plan because God’s plan will come through
your humility.
Proverbs
18 12 “Before destruction the heart
of man is
haughty, and before honour is humility.”

22 4 “By humility and the fear of
the LORD
are riches, and honour, and life.”

] 17. If your plan can be destroyed by the actions of others, it is
probably not God's plan because if God is for you, then no man can
stop God’s plan.
Psalms
33:10-11 “The LORD bringeth the
counsel of
the heathen to nought: he maketh the devices of the people of none
effect. The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of
his heart to all generations.”
Romans
8:31 “What
shall we then say to these things? If God be
for
us, who can be
against
us?”

] 18. If you are planning somebody else's plan, it is probably not
God's plan because God wants the plan that He has fitted for you.
Proverbs
16 3 “Commit thy works unto the
LORD, and thy
thoughts shall be established.”
Jeremiah
29:11 “For
I know the
thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace,
and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

] 19. If your plan involves only the minimum effort and no faith, it
is probably not God’s plan because God’s plan requires faith to
go beyond what is expected.
Luke
17:10 “So
likewise ye, when ye shall have done all those things which are
commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that
which was our duty to do.”
Hebrews
11:6 “But
without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to
God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that
diligently seek him.”

] 20. If your plan does not require
hearing from
God, it is not God’s plan because God’s plan requires that we
hear and obey His voice.
Jeremiah
33:3 “Call
unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty
things, which thou knowest not.”
John 10:27 “My
sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

plan has
failed in the past, God is still the
God of
second chances.
Jonah
3:1-2
“And
the word of the LORD came unto Jonah the second time, saying, Arise,
go unto Nineveh, that great city, and preach unto it the preaching
that I bid thee.”
Lamentations
3:22-23
“This
I recall to my mind, therefore have I hope. It
is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because his
compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy
faithfulness.”
