The following are Scripture references for
the Java Script Message.
"Moreover, brethren, I
declare unto you the gospel [good news]
which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye
stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory
what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according
to the scriptures" (1 Corinthians 15:1-4).
The bad news is that we have all sinned and come short of
doing what is right in God's eyes. The consequences for sin is a
bondage to that sin, spiritual death, and eternal separation from God.
However, there is GOOD NEWS! You can be saved from all your sins
(past, present, and even future sins).
"For God so loved the world, that he gave
his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish,
but have everlasting life" (John 3:16)
The Word of God declares that God loves you and has already demonstrated
that love for you by sending His Son, Jesus, into the world. Your
part is to accept His love by putting your faith totally in Him for your
salvation that you may receive eternal life. This new life is perfect
in quality and everlasting in quanity.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners,
Christ
died for us" (Romans 5:8).
Since you could never do enough good good works to balance the scales,
Jesus, who did not sin, died in your place for all your sins. He
became the perfect substitute for your sins so that you would not have
to suffer eternal consequences for them.
"When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It
is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost"
(John 19:30).
The expression, "It is finished", implies that the sacrifice of Jesus for
your salvation is complete. God has already done His part.
You can do nothing to earn or merit your salvation or to maintain your
salvation. Now, your part is to believe in Jesus enough to commit
your life to him as your Lord and Saviour.
"Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the
law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every
one that hangeth on a tree" (Galatians 3:13)"
Whatever claim that Devil has had upon your life is now broken through
Jesus. By faith in Jesus, you are free from the old sin nature (the
power of sin and the authority of the Devil in your life) so that you may
hear and obey the voice of God.
